Tano bag question - with pics
Permalink Closed

I'm interested in this Tano bag (the boogie bucket) in ivory. These are the pics that the woman at musthavebag.com sent me.

I like the way the bag looks in the first pic, kinda slouchy, but in the 2nd pic, it looks weird on her, maybe it's the winter coat? -- I don't know, something about it looks off to me.

I'm slim and only 5'4" and this would be my first bag bigger than a larger-sized clutch (I'm not kidding!) Is it going to overpower me, or look like a work tote? I want something I can carry almost everywhere. Should I get something smaller or shaped differently?

Thanks for opinions!

Size and shape I think you'll be fine.  I have the oversize shopper in Ivory and i want to warn you.  I've had the bag for a few months now and use it on a regular basis, some of the ivory has stated to "rub-off" on corner and the bottom of the bag.

I think that girl looks awful in that coat - maybe that is what is throwing you off? I love the bag, although I admit to not having seen it in person (just online & in the threadstyle photos) so I don't know about the size....

It does look sort of funny on the girl. Maybe because the strap doesn't look very long?

i think so to, and you cant adjust the strap either. she's emailed me that picture too and ive decided not to go with that one. so its between the rerun bag(you can adjust the strap) and another one......

itsapinkthing, thanks for the warning.....

Yeah, I think it's a combination of the frumpy winter coat and the strap drop being too short. I love the ivory color, but I'm not sold on everything else. I think I'll keep looking.....thanks girls.

I'm thinking about getting this one - maybe it would work better for you too?

It's the Analisa style.

Wow, I'm disappointed to hear that. Thanks for the heads-up. I wonder if all of them have this problem, or if it's just the ivory color?

I had to save them to my computer, then put them into shutterfly. Kind of a pain, but I wanted ppl to see them. :)

I have it in brown for about 2 (3?) months now.  I haven't had any issues with the color chipping or fading at all.

I know that FP raves about hers. Im sure she would have said something if she was having issues with chipping!

So, it sounds to me like it must just be the ivory color, then, based on everyone's responses.

The finish is very pearly, so I think it may just be the consistency of that particular dye/pigment.
