baby quilt ideas

My mother wants to make our baby a quilt--I don't know much about quilting but she wanted me to send her some ideas of what we like. Here is our rug and the linen samples. DO you guys have any ideas or good links to quilts? Possibly something with flowers or ladybugs or even just colors?

does she want to make a specific baby themed quilt? in my family, we have recently started celebrating big occasions (60th bday, 1st wedding anniv, etc.) with picture quilts... you just print the images onto iron on transfers or onto printable paper and then sew them in... the best part is if you have someone who knows how to sew well, you could add pics as time passes...

granted then this wouldn't be something you would put in the crib with the baby, but it would be something she could have forever..

otherwise, i  would suggest doing a simple, bright and colorful one.. make sure all the fabric and quilting are machine washable though!
