What Do I Wear?
Permalink Closed

Ok, I've been given an amazing opportunity by sister-in-law - she's a journalist for the local Chicago music scene and she's just been assigned to interview one of my favorite bands ever, and guess who gets to go w/her?  Me!  Basically I just get to tag along because I love them, and maybe ask a few questions.  Anyhow, what do I wear?  I want to look like me, but..they are a alternative/gothish/electronica type band.  It's 5 guys, and they all wear makeup, dress in black - you get the idea.  So what the heck do I wear to look cool/rock w/out looking like a dork?  Help!

Sorry - I guess that would help.  I have a lot - a mixture of a bunch of different stuff.  I have jeans, dress pants, tons of skirts (denim minis, knee length etc) lots of cropped pants in different colors, band - t-shirts, blazers in a few different colors, going out type clubby tops (camis, sequin type tops) cardigans, etc....I don't know if this is helping at all?  I don't know if I should be more specific?!

I think the converse/ballet flats may work against the sexy...  if you have to go flat, maybe jeans with slouchy boots and the hoodie you posted?

I was thinking the same thing, and there's no reason I have to go flat..I'm all about wearing heels, if that helps.

Yes, I know the shirt's sleeves are longer than the blazer. It would look rocker chic!

with jeans or black gauchos.

Ok, I tried on Nyla's last outfit suggestion and it just doesn't look right.  I do have a black mesh/fishnet type long sleeve shirt..maybe I could wear that under the black s/s blazer?  Or under something else?

The mesh/fishnet top sounds like it would be cute under that blazer.Or maybe under somthing like one of these,if you own somthing like them.
