OK I need to change my hair style - it's boring and I look 20 years old (Which isn't bad - but I am a mom now and would love to be taken a little more seriously!) I have been contemplating bangs...but are they outdated? I'm a little nervous to make the change.

Here is me now:

(well this pic is actually about a year old)

This is more recent

anyway - I'm bored!

So here are some pics I found - what do you think  - would any of these look good on me? I am looking to keep my length though...thoughts?

From the first pic you posted of yourself I think that Jessicas style would work so well with your hair!  You have great hair by the way!  I think bangs would make you look younger, but the swooped bangs layered with the rest of the hair like Jessicas would be really sexy and easy to style!  Please post after pics!

i like the idea of jessicas hair on you, but i don't see it as much of a change...

try some longer bangs.  hilary looks a bit easier and less bang-y than mandy.  i think that would look great.

not that drastic, but a change.  you could do some highlights in a dark red or something?

are you changing color or just cut?

I voted Jessica because I think the side-swept bangs will be really flattering on you. Plus, you could always grow them out easily (just tuck them behind your ear for awhile!) when you're ready for something new!

I voted Jessica!

IMO the style of bangs that Mandy and Hillary have are a bit severe - you have such delicate features I think they might overwhelm your face a little bit.  I say go for Jessica's style, with some cheekbone-grazing sideswept bangs (aka still long enough to put back when miss T gets grabby ).

I voted for Mandy Moore's cut.  I think her bangs are a bit edgier (or as edgy as Mandy Moore's ever going to be) and I think they're long enough that you can still sweep them off to the side.  I think either Mandy's or Jessica's cut will be pretty easy to style, so I don't think you can go wrong in that respect.  Definitely post pics after the cut!!!

I like Jessica's style the best.. I agree that the side bangs would look great on you!

I do like Mandy Moore's hair too. If you don't want to take so much length off, I like the idea of Mandy's cut but with Jessica's bangs.. How bout that?

I don't really love Hillary's hair there at all.

I voted for Jessica's for the same reason - I think Jessica's style would look beautiful on you.

I agree that the side-swept bangs will be a good look for you.  But the rest of Jessica's haircut looks pretty much the same as what you have now.

i voted jessica too.. i think you guys have a similar amount and thickness in hair. i think thinning out the body by adding more layers and side swept bangs would look great on you!!!

I voted Jessica--I have been wanting that cut myself.  Ask your hairdresser for his/her opinion as well.  I recently had my hair done and when I suggested something the hairdresser had his own "vision" of what would look good with my face structure, skin coloring, hair color, etc.

I like the Jessica look too.  I don't really like severe bangs.

FWIW, I got bangs about 2 months ago.  It is the first time I've had bangs since I was about 12.  As soon as they were cut, I was reminded of why I grew them out in the first place.  I hate them.  I get lots of compliments on them and I like the way they look, but it is such a hassle to get them to look nice.  Now that they've grown out a bit, I like them better because I can sweep them over to the side, which is easy when I'm in a rush.  I'm not trying to scare you out of it, just suggesting that you starter with longer bangs.  You can always cut them shorter later.
