I have some winter outfit ideas in mind for this dress, but I wanted to see what cool outfit ideas my fellow STers have... I would love to see what you come up with - please share!

Leah - I was curious to see what you would come up with... so you're envisioning a grey cardigan over it? I do like the tights with black shoes... I have teal tights...

I like the idea of a slouchy knit cardi over it - plays off the slim shape of the dress and the eyecatching design.  If you wanted something a little funkier, a purple cardi would be awesome too - I'd switch out the red (or teal) tights for black though in that case, maybe with a subtle chevron print to echo the dress?

Ooooo, you could also do a chic biker-babe look:

I was definitely thinking a slouchy cardigan - you don't think the competing knits (like cable) will look funny? I had originally thought of some cardigans I already have, but they have cable designs - maybe I shouldn't worry about that...  I do have a cream cardigan (anthro last year - the one with the big heart brooch - when you wear it without the pin it looks a lot like the grey one you posted only in cream) maybe that cardigan, teal tights and black boots... I like the idea of an eggplant purple with it - I think that dark color may be eggplant (or black - it's hard to tell)

Hmm, I think as long as the cardigan is a thicker knit IMO it won't compete with the dress, since the dress is a more understated knit in a bright design, and the sweater would be a more distinct knit in a neutral color.  I'm sure your cream anthro cardigan would be perfect!  And if the dark stripes in the dress are eggplant, I take back the red tights - you must, must wear eggplant tights!
