EX-GIRLFRIEND DRAMA!!
Permalink Closed

Hey guys, just a question, I am dating this new guy Matt that I was friends with in high school. When we were in highschool he was in a long term relay with this girl Morgan, well they ended up breaking up about a year and a half ago and now me and him are dating, (for about a month...) well I guess Morgan found out we are together and she is super pissed and really mad at Matt for some reason that he's dating me and he told me that ever since she found out she has called and texted him every day a bunch. They are still really good friends and I'm totally fine with that, but it really bugs me that she is so pissed that we are together now and how all of a sudden she is calling non-stop. I feel totally powerless in this situation, what would you guys do?? I never see her and the only reason I know any of this is because he told me about it.  She has her own current boyfriend but I kind of think she is still in love with him.

Go like this .

He is with you because he likes you, and not with her anymore because she is obviously crazy!  It doesn't sound like he has anything to hide, but like it annoys him just as much as it does you.  You already have the upper hand in this situation, so instead of letting it bother you why not create a little inside joke betweent you and the new BF about it?

I agree w/ LMonet...just make a joke about it and don't worry about it.  There's not really anything you can do.  By acting all crazy, she's actually reinforcing to him why they broke up in the first place.

She'll get over it before too long.  In the meantime, just have a chuckle about it and appreciate the fact that your boyfriend is straightforward with you about it--many guys wouldn't be.

I think you should go more like this

How old is this girl? it sounds very high school - she needs to get over it!

I agree, maybe she is mad because she realized  what a good thing she used to have- but oh well you have him now

it's a really good sign that he disclosed this to you!  however, it's up to him to get her to stop, and since your relationship is kind of new, you have to keep a sense of humor about it, as the other posters suggested.  hopefully he will put her in her place.  just to keep to yourself though, you have every right to be bothered by this.
