i recently ordered this bag from nordstrom in a chocolate brown color, but i haven't received it yet



it was a gift to myself for getting a promotion at work, so i splurged and paid full price ($275) since i love the shape and the handle and i can't find the chocolate brown color anywhere for cheaper.  now i'm having second thoughts because i don't know anything about the brand, so i'm wondering if it was worth the price.  has anyone had any experience with the brand "francesco biasia"?


i was looking on the forum today and saw this bag posted several times:



so i'm wondering if i should keep the francesco biasia bag when i receive it, or returm it and order this handmaid by michelle frantz one instead since it is similar in price ($318)?  which do you think is more worth the money?

I've never had either of those brands of handbags, but in general I think Handmaid would be higher quality than the FB one. I have heard of FB, and they've had some cute bags, but it doesn't seem like they should cost as much as they do.

I REALLY that quilty Handmaid one! But then again, it's more my style than the other one.

I prefer the second bag posted. I think it's because I like structured bags more. I think I would like the first one if it had a longer handle.

I love both of the bags you posted and I think the first one would be great in brown. I own two Francesco Biasia bags and I feel that the quality is great!


One I bought a month ago and the other I bought 3 years ago and it has really held up after tons of use(and I'm not dainty with my bags-I'll set them on the floor/pavement/concrete etc. and shove large/heavy objects into them).

the quality will prob. be comparable- but i prefer the styling of the second one.  I felt the leather on that one though- its not very soft if thats what you are used to.  I have this in a larger size in black, and I love it.  Its awesome leather.  The brown is smaller and $348:

I have had many Franscesco Biasia bags in my day.. the quality is excellent and I would be surprised if it wasn't better than HM bags. They are prob VERY comparable.

thanks for all your help, everyone! i finally received the FB bag yesterday.  i love it and am relieved to hear from wicked and joceybaby23 that their FB bags have served them well, so i'm keeping it. 


i still really like that handmaid bag, though, so i'm thinking of asking the FI for it for christmas, maybe in teal instead of brown . . .


eta:  rocky, i never did find a coupon code for the handmaid bag, but the website is offering free shipping throughout november

Woo, Halleybird told me about a 35% off code for the Hand Maid bag -- it's Holiday. Just type it into the discount box on the site.

I didn't find out about the code until after I placed my order, but I called them and they made the adjustment. Saving $111 is a big deal!!
