i'll start with a little story...the other day i was bored at work, dreaming about all the things i want and can't afford. i im'd my brother the frye dorado boots, saying "hey fryeguy - dark brown, size 7, christmas present" (he recently got himself a pair of fryes and wears them constantly.) i never expected him to get them, but he called me that night and said "they'll be there soon, don't expect any presents for anything next year." WHAT?!?! so now i'm going crazy with anticipation, i cannot wait to have these boots. who knew my brother was so awesome?
anyway, my new dilemma is what kind of bag can i carry with the boots? most of my bags are pretty structured (or black), and i want something that matches the vibe of the boots. for those unfamiliar, here's a pic of the boots (i'm getting the dark brown):
i don't want to spend more than $200, but i might if it's the perfect bag. and also, what colors would you recommend? i think brown might be too matchy, no? help!

good, brother, good. i would carry something sort of slouchy and bohemian-esque- maybe in a beat-up caramel leather. You could also do a pretty fabric bag- like a cool tapestry bag, for example. The bags at Anthro are all pretty expensive, but they're a good place to look for inspiration, here are some examples:
wow - what a nice gift! (I'll confess I asked for the Frye Harness Boots for Valentines Day )
Anyway - this bag would be perfect, but it's more than $200 (it's $375) see my post on the Kooba Frankie for the link (ignore the sold out banner! I went for a larger image on Frye's site)

thanks for the suggestions, ladies - keep 'em coming!
lynnie - of course the bag you "ack"ed about is the one i loved instantly!
lmonet - something about that last one you posted reminds me of the bulgas. hmm...anyone have "cheap" bulgas right now?
detroit - you're evil! since i noticed it on sale yesterday, i've been trying soooo hard to not buy that bag. i'm convincing myself that the suede will get ruined in the harsh weather ahead. i'm telling myself that i do not need that bag...
i think i'm having a hard time because boho stuff is so not my style...but i love those boots!

one time i got beer nuts, green nail polish, and a plastic drawer organizer (for pens and stuff). it was his fresh. or soph. year of college, but still!!! what's a girl supposed to do with beer nuts?
now, since we're older and live in the same city (and get along better) i get my brother a bottle of patron tequila, and he gets me a bottle of wine or vodka.
