I confess!  I am a total invitation dummy!


Is it at all possible to create wedding invitations using only basic Windows programs?  I have Word, and a program called Print Workshop 2005, but neither is proving very helpful.  I want to DIY, but if I'm not able to figure it out on my computer, I'll have to design them on the comps at Kinko's which cost $0.20 per minute - that could get expensive reeeaaal quick!


Could someone please explain to me how this works like I'm a three-year-old?  It's mostly getting the spacing/margins correct that I'm having trouble with - if I can't figure it out I'm going to have to print one invitation in the middle of each sheet of paper and have them cut them all down by half ...

I am a big dummy too, but why don't you ask Smash for some help/advice? Isn't she still doing the invitation/stationary business? Maybe she can at least point you in the right direction!


(I wanted to do my invitations myself, but I have zero patience for that type of thing. I figured my time was worth more to me that just paying someone else to do it in the end.)

Smash?!?  Luv2Shop?!?  I need some hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllppppp!


Since I'm not working, I have plenty of time to do the invites and attachments myself so that's not a problem.  And we need invitations, RSVP cards, direction/map cards, rehearsal dinner cards, thank you cards, table numbers, seating cards etc, etc.  We could afford to have the invites themselves printed professionally, but not everything else and if we do some and have some made then they won't match.  So it's unfortunately an all or nothing kind of situation .


Man, if you guys have some templates or something I would be forever grateful!  Or maybe I could employ your design services ... ?
