but it has a zipper on the side, can you still zip it up anyway?  I want some boots and they're all out of the extended calf version so I'd have to get the regular ones.

Eh, I don't know. . .


1/2 inch is kind of a lot too tight.  I wouldn't do it, I think it would be very painful to zip it up all the way, if you can even get it to zip.  But maybe a cobbler could extend them?
