I ordered this Hollister sweater that a lot of you girls have and love on 10/11.
They were backordered until 10/18, but on 10/20 it shipped out via USPS. According to the tracking on the Hollister site, the package with the sweater was delivered on 10/26 at 12:10 PM. I check my mail every day and there has not been a package from Hollister at all. My apartment manager always checks for my packages (she's like my surrogate mom) and tells me when they arrive.
I called Hollister today to see what was going on with the package and they said to call the Post Office. I called the 1-800 number for the USPS and they couldn't help me, but transferred me to my local Post Office. I talked to one of the clerks at the local post office branch and they didn't have the package so they gave me a number to call the carrier who actually delivers the mail. The carrier doesn't answer. My apartment manager talked to the carrier when she came to deliver the mail today and she doesn't remember delivering it.
I am so mad right now over this. Is there anything I can do or should I call this $50 lost? I really can't afford to just lose $50 down the drain...but I don't know.
you really need to track it down and see who was in charge of getting it to your door and go from there. it might take time to track it but you really need to know who to blame and hopefully you'll get a refund or it'll be found....
I'd say to keep trying get in touch with USPS somehow....I have heard more stories of USPS losing packages lately!
Now I hate to bring this up, but at my apartment I once had another tenant sign for a package. But this doesn't sound like your situation b/c your manager watches for you and it's really weird if the carrier doesn't remember...is it always the same carrier every day?
I thought my Target order was lost until yesterday I checked the Target site, which tracks your package for you, and it says it was delivered to a "Rhonda," and I was like who's Rhonda, but she works at my apartment office!!
So I wish I could give more help....it sounds like more research needs to be done.
Ok, since it was shipped USPS and not UPS, making a ton of phone calls seems to be the only solution. This happened to me with my last Hollister order!! Hollister's tracking information said the package was in my town.....for 4 days. If it was in my town, why hadn't I received my order? So I made a million calls to the post office, who of course was totally clueless and told me they couldn't find my package, but would contact my carrier to try to find it.
End of story? My package arrived on the 5th day of being in my town. Maybe if you just give it more time, yours will eventually show up, too.
is the post office near you? this happened to me last year with an order from ann taylor. the post man said he didn't know where it was. finally i went to the PO, to get some answers and it had been sitting in the ( box room? ) for about 2 weeks.

Going to the post office yourself is a good idea. Last spring, I tracked a package I had been waiting for on the USPS web site and it said that a delivery attempt had been made to my address, even though I knew they definitely hadn't left a delivery notice in our mailbox.
I called the USPS and they told me to go to my local post office. That's what I did and, lo and behold, after a clerk had rummaged through the back room for ten minutes, she found my package.
So I think there's a good chance your sweater is waiting for you in the post office. Good luck!
I called the carrier's number again yesterday. No answer.
But when I came home last night, there was the good ol' Hollister box sitting in from of my door. Turns out it was shipped next door and signed for over. On the box, someone wrote "wrong address" in black sharpie. My apt. manager is friends with the apt. manager of that building. He gave her the package to give to me.
So all is well and I'm wearing the sweater today. So cozy and comfy...thanks so much girls for the rec...it really is nice, especially for the price.
