Currently, I'm working as a legal secretary...I am needing a big change, so here's what I've decided...


I am going to start working part time at Petco as a washer/brusher on nights & weekends.  Once I do this for a few months, the manager said that they will pay for me to go to grooming school.  Once I graduate, I can make as much money as I'm making now as a groomer.  I am going to talk to him again tonight to see if I have the job, so, any good wishes my way would be appreciated!


I don't want to be a groomer for the rest of my life, but I think this is a step in the right direction.  It would give me something different to do and I wouldn't have to take a pay cut.  I was actually surprised how much you can make as a groomer!


Eventually I would like to start my own pet care business, but I need to save up $$$ first and iron out the details.


I am really excited to finally have a plan!  If all goes well, I will be able to give my 2 weeks in January!!!  Not only would it mean getting out of the corporate environment, but I would also be cutting my 2+hour commute!

I've been following your other posts about this and I definitely think that this is a great step in the right direction. Good for you for having the guts to try something new that will lead you to what you ultimately want!
