Need Pre Paid Cell Phone Advice

I'm thinking of cancelling my agreement w/my provider after my contract expires and following in Detroit's budgeting advice and getting a Pre-Paid Package.  My hubby & his cell are attached by the hip, so we're keeping his, so its only worth the $55 mo. for 3,000 minutes.


Me on the other hand, hardly ever use it, I have a direct line at work so the only time I use my cell is when my hubby is hounding me to come home from the mall.


What companies offer more for my buck? 


Which one's should I stay away from?


I'm open & grateful for any advice or recs you girls can offer.

you can purchase virgin phones at best buy or target and can buy phone cards for it at those locations too or purchase time on-line or via phone
