Has anyone tried Clinique's new Color Surge Butter Shine Lipstick?  Just wondering what you thought of it?  I wanted to try it, but didn't know what color, or if it was worth it?

i bought one in "pink goddess" and it's great!  the texture is really nice--it looks more like a shiny lipstick, but it's very soft and doesn't dry your lips out.  it stays on medium-well i would say (better than gloss, less than lipstick).  if you like their "almost lipstick," it's kind of like that but a little bit creamier/more pigment-y.

I am not a lipstick girl at all, I'm more of a gloss girl..so if you're tellingme this is a cross btwn the two, is that what you're saying?, it sounds perfect!

How is that pink goddess shade?  I'm very fair skinned..

I had a sample of one and am planning to buy it. It was really nice- very smooth and shiny (a tad heavier than a gloss, but not a full coverage lipstick either). I usually just wear a clear gloss because I liek the color of my lips, but the one I tried (don't remember the name offhand) was so similar to my natural color that it looked great.

it IS a cross between the two, but imho it is more like a lipstick.  it's not really super-shiny like a gloss, but it is definitely shinier than most regular lipsticks.  it feels really nice on.

i am fair-skinned/freckled/english-rose coloring, and the pink goddess is a really nice and subtle--i just wanted something that was close to my own lip color.  are you thinking of ordering online?

I have been using this lipstick and love it so far.  The smooth, moisturizing texture is my favorite part of it.  The color I got is Apple Brandy, which is close to my natural lip color (my skin tone is more fair to medium), but with a little more "punch" if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I don't know when I'll get a chance to go to Sephora, so I may just order my mascara online and wanted to try this.  After reading everyone's reviews, I really want to try it, but don't know if I should go test the colors first?

I could be wrong, but I don't think Sephora carries Clinique. I think Clinique is just at department stores....

Actually it's something new @ Sephora - they now carry Clinique!

Oooh...that sounds great!  I love clinique's lip products...possibly the only company that makes lipstick that doesn't make my lips dry!  I'll have to try this!
