So my mom got this great idea, that 2006 should be our "year of active living". We are going to workout (either running on an eliptical/doing weights or doing an hour-long aerobics class) at LEAST three times a week or more often if possible. The best part is though, that for every workout we do, it's going to be worth "dollars" towards doing something as a reward. In our case, we plan on rewarding ourselves by going to the spa, or saving our "dollars" and renting a room in a posh hotel for a night and going for dinner or something. Because I'm at university, it's actually her dollars thay we're spending (heehee), but I thought this might be a good idea for anyone that has trouble getting motivated (I know I do!). At any rate, we are starting tomorrow, so really we're getting a head start on our year!! I'm excited though, so I wanted to pass it along!

Yeah exactly, but I don't think we've decided the amount yet... it will probably have to be like 5 dollars or something small otherwise we will "earn money" too fast.

That's such a great idea! I actually just started doing something similar with food (for every weekday I am good and every pound I lose, I put a dollar in a jar...for every weekend I make it through without messing up $5 goes in- I don't know what I'm saving for yet though- Maybe some Manolos or a new bag). Now I'm thinking about adding in exercise dollars too...
Good plans yall. I think I'm going to do $1 everytime I exercise for 35 minutes or more (that is the WW requirement for burning/earning 2 more points a day) and then $1 for every day I'm within my points range. I need motivation for both things!
