I don't really buy a whole lot from Sephora, but I love that the salespeople are so cool. They let you try stuff on without giving you the evil eye or expecting you to buy stuff. You can experiment guilt-free

Sephora is great! I was in there last week though for twenty minutes and was asked no less than six times "can I help you find anything?" I think they must have had too many SA's on the schedule that day.

Unfortunately, I have had nothing but bad luck when I go to Sephora. I do get greeted several times when I do go in- this is not the problem. The issue is product knowledge-when I do actually have some specific questions about products- no one seems to be able to direct me. I get Im not sure, Ill ask someone else, or an unsatisfactory product that I eventually end up returning. I have much better luck at the makeup counter at the department stores- they seem to all be trained on the products they carry- in my personal experience, at least.

i Sephora. The SAs are always friendly and if they don't know the answer to my question- they find a coworker who does. I really appreciate that they do that and they don't try to "bluff" their way on a product recomendation.

I love my local Sephora too (it's probably the same one as miss t's). The SA's there are so nice and helpful when you need help. Other than that, they leave you alone and let you try on all the makeup you want. I love it.

Their website is pretty great too! I bought some stuff there with the F&F code and the shipping was quick and you get to pick out free samples of stuff you want to try! it!

I agree that they'll ask their coworkers if they don't know the answer to a question, which I really appreciate. But for some reason at my local Sephora, everytime I start saying I need an eyeliner or a mascara or whatever, they always head to Clinique. Bugs me! If I wanted Clinique, I'd go there. I'm exceedingly familiar with the brand of makeup I've been exposed to since junior high. I'm ready for big girl makeup now, please. A little Nars, some Smashbox here and there, maybe even a Chanel peek every now and again. I wonder if it's because I don't wear very much makeup on the weekends (when I go there) so they think I'll like it???

I like shopping at Sephora, since they are generous with the samples (though I always have to ask for them), but actually getting someone to help me is a chore. I swear I must have "Leave me alone" tattooed on my forehead, since the SAs never approach me.

I have had good SA's at some of the Sephora's I've visited out of town, but the one I was going to often in Houston really pisses me off. I try not to even go in there anymore. I could go in there by myself and they would be fine and not look at me crazy, but let me go in there with a friend who was a different color than I am and we would have people starring over our shoulders the whole time, and often the same people who would have been nice to me by myself. The last time we went in there a few of the girls followed us so closely that we walked out and went to MAC and spent together over $450. I wrote Sephora and told them that maybe if they had sales assistants that were not racist that they would have gotten a large sale that day. I am glad you guys have nice people at your local Sephora though.
