Help Me Wear This Skirt

I have this skirt (not the best pic, sorry) from Gap from last winter, but I don't know how to wear it.  If you can't tell, it's a pleated, wool mini skirt.  The colors are grey, pink, and white.  I love it, but since it's pretty short, I don't want to just wear boots or heels - I think I need some chunky tights maybe and boots?  But what kind of boots and what kind of tights?  Help me!

I think boots would be better than heels. As for tights i'm looking myself for some truly warm tights as opposed to just wimpy opaque ones. I also think a solid colred knee high peeking out of the boot would look cool. I would probably do black knee high boots and black or grey tights.

Black knee-high boots with pink or grey opaque tights and a white top.  I think you could also wear mary janes, though I like the idea of wearing it with boots better.  I also think a pointy-ish toe would look best (for boots, not mary janes, of course).  You have closed fishnets right?  I think you should try those on with the skirt and see how they look too.  If you only have regular fishnets, you can wear them over black tights to get a similar effect.

I think I like the idea of gray tights w/black knee high boots.  Any other suggestions for different looks?
