Thanks for the vote of confidence Miss T- I will try it and try not to be so self conscious- I do feel a bit out of place in these types of stores- like they are thinking " Whats she doing in here?" I really like the look of the dolman style and had seen someone suggest Bebe as a store that carries this style- so I did look on the site and saw several sweaters and tops that I really liked and put them in my cart, but, I talked myself out of it.Im not huge by any means - usually wear a size Lg\12 miss-and am 5'7.I think that some people, like me, just have a distorted idea about body image- around 5 years ago I lost 75 lbs- and even now I often have a tough time dressing my body- I love clothes , of course, but- sometimes feel uncomfortable... anyways thank you - Ill let you know the outcome...
And some other jewelry from vendors at Sheckys. Technically, that was Wednesday, but I never got a weekend this week due to being on business in Washington, DC.
Remember how I wanted a deep red bag... well I got both of these off ebay. I couldn't make up my mind so they both are mine now. And I bought this L. Erickson headband at a boutique.
i love purple and i think this top would be nice to have with gold or silver accents as well as with my "cognac" boots and sienna.
i have the same headband that sfclinevandy got but in black from bcbg.
and the j.crew denim skirt.
next weekend should be bad as i'm going to nyc and philly on friday and there's no sales tax compared to chicago's 9%.

shopgirl82- they lowered nyc's 8.375% tax to 4.375% (or something) only on clothes and accessories. how great is that!
a year ago philly's tax was zero, i think it still is. nyc i thought was zero, but i could be wrong. if it's lower than 9% i'm a happy camper.

Just a few things: An anthro cardi at a thrift - looks like this but is pink and red. $5!! A cardigan sweater in this color, but longer. Also $5. And a pair of vintage boys' guess jeans for casual wear - I'm going to embroider on them. Also $5. I was such a cheapie!
Lisa, where do you thrift? I've only found a couple decent places (on 6th) so far, and they are NOT the kind of places that have anything for $5 ... I need a fix!
