aww karina! i'm really sorry.. i kinda know how you feel, im graduating this year and feel like i am up against all of my friends for jobs with the same companies... i imagine thats like being up against an internal candidate.. similar backgrounds, etc. maybe i'm wrong?

but anyways i know the disappointment.. but you worked hard and im sure you do great work and if this one doesn't work out, then you will be prepared for the next opportunity. everything happens for a reason. just remember that!

Well, that still doesn't mean you DIDN'T get it, right? Have confidence in yourself! A little competition never hurt anyone.. Don't be disappointed until you know for sure. Delay in response isn't always a bad thing. I interviewed at my current company for the first time in November, went for my second interview in December and wasn't hired until January.

I was up against an internal candidate for the job I have currently so have faith!! Maybe they are like my company and hire the best person for the job. It could be someone who is just trying to get a different position in the company and has no qualifications and would be terrible at the job.
