Not sure if you're still looking for a robe anymore or not, but I saw these "Coziest Robes" tonight at the American Eagle on North Ave.  They're $48 and they're that same soft material like the ones I showed you at Gap, but they are the shorter length like you wanted.  HTH!

ha...I am glad I saw this post. I was looking through the VS catalog today and I was like, "who was looking for a short, soft robe?"

ohhhh.  thanks!  i was actually going to North Ave. for the J.Crew and the Sam's Wine today.  i will check it out.  i really wanted a short robe and i wonder if they have my favorite color...purple?  that's such a great price.  thanks for thinking of me.

Actually, AE only had that light blue I posted and white.  I hope it still works out for you - they seemed pretty nice and cozy

blue is great too.  i saw a nice dark purple one, i think the one that halleybird posted in purple and it captured my eye too, but after feeling the gap one, i think i want one that i know is soft and not go for color.  plus, i have a purple silk one!
