Need help on shoe decision for costume..

My costume consists of the following:

(My skirt is black though)

(These have subtle, dark glitter in them)

I'm going as an evil fairy, but I just don't know which shoe to wear.  I have 2 options below, because that's all I own that would possibly work. I only have a Payless, Target, and Journeys in town for shoe buying and I don't want heels.  I want to be kind of floaty and fairy-like; I'm drawn to the sandals because I feel that the rest of the outfit is pretty covered (skirt hits mid-calf) and I feel I need some "bareness" to the outfit.  I wish the sandals were black, but since they're not, I question whether they would work or not.

Okay, the 2 shoe choices:

I guess I also have the ballet flats in silver, tan, and pink, if you think one of those could work better.  Remember, I'm an EVIL fairy, so nothing too cutesy or happy

I just don't know if an evil fairy would wear ballet flats! Seems more good witch-ish. I like the sandals. Would you freeze if you had to wear the sandals?

I would freeze, but even with the ballet flats, I'll freeze.  Just one of the hazards of living in the Midwest and trying to dress up for Halloween with something that doesn't involve a full suit costume

I'll only be outside walking from my car to the bar and then back later, so I can definitely handle the sandals...

I'd also go with the ballet flats. I don't want your toes to freeze.
