I haaaaaaate popped collars! The only person I can tolerate wearing their collar popped is my boyfriend's little brother.. I'm not sure if it's because he looks good or if I'm just used to seeing him with it (though it's probably the latter )

Of course your preppiest person here likes it. I am a fan of the preppy frat boy look, just not the attitude. But here is where I get weird, not on someone who is "new" preppy as in A&F or others. But a guy wearing a vintage worn in Lacoste works for me!

Oh my goodness, I love those radio commercials!  I haven't heard that one though, it's hilarious!!!!!


I don't mind popped collars on girls as much as I do on guys.  I really don't like the look at all on men, it's tolerable on women though.

I don't really like upturned collars on shirts but I really like it on coats and blazers. Especially on guys. It just gives off this bookish aura which I love. I always think of the guy as a grad student or professor or struggling writer who can't afford a winter coat and turns his collar up in a feeble attempt to protect himself against the cold!

On girls, its stylish.. on girls, they are just trying too hard, IMO.

For me, it depends on how the guy carries it off.  I think it can look good on the right guy, maybe someone a little artsy.  It takes some someone bold and sexy and fashionable, but not someone who is trying too hard or copying someone else's style.


But bottom line, I would make fun of my husband if he tried to pull this off, so I guess I think this is best left to the experts....and most regular guys aren't experts.
