Do Banana Republic wool jackets/coats ( the long ones ) run on the bigger side? A lot of people have told me that BR runs reeeeeeeally big in terms of pants, shirts, dresses...but does it also apply for jackets/coats?


I don't know whether to get a Medium or Small...I have 36C boobs, if that helps any. Also, because I'm so SHORT...I don't know if their PETITE sizes would be better. I'm only petite in height though hehe ;)


I also consulted the measurements provided on their site ( see below ), but I don't know if they're reliable or not. Anyone care to shed some light on this issue? :) TIA!

I think their pants run big.  But their tops and jackets fit me perfectly in my usual size.

I've found their 0/2/4/6/8 etc items to run one size bigger than standard, but their S-M-L items seem on par with other "mall" brands/retailers.

I'm a 34D and usually wear an S (or Petite M) in BR coats...I'm also petite (5' 3") and while I like the petite fit better sometimes (the hems hit at the right place, and so deos the waist)...most of the stuff I like isn't made in petites.

Same here! The coat isn't available in Petites, so I'm stick with the regular sizes. It's reassuring to hear that you're a 34D and fit into a Small though! :)


Wicked : I was at the mall yesterday and decided to try on a similar wool coat from Gap in S, and fit quite well. Do Gap and BR use the same sizing?
