I am considering buying this peacoat from ON. Thoughts?

Would this one from BR be a better investment (it's only $30 more)?

I think it look just fine.  Not investment-quality of course, but fine through a few seasons at least.

ETA: Go with the BR one - not too much more $$$ and it will last you much longer.

I would probably get the one from BR. It looks lovely and is much better quality.

Think of it this way ... Banana Republic is the more upscale subsidiary of Gap, and Gap is the more upscale subsidiary of Old Navy.  Thirty dollars more and you'll be getting significantly more quality!  Go with Banana

Ok, so I got this jacket from BR. It's only $84 in the store.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks ladies.

I am actually taking the jacket back. After trying it on at home, I realize that it doesn't fit me body type. I usually think, what would Stacey and Clinton think of this, before I buy something, but I didnt have time yesterday. I really need a coat. So I bought t in haste. Now I am regretting it.

I have tried to keep to the main ideas of that show What Not To Wear because I think in general, they are right on target. The jacket is too short for me. I still have large legs and when I put the jacket on, it ends at my hips, drawing attention to that area and making me look boxy. I need something a little bit longer that will draw attention to my waist and minimize my hips. I need a longer peacot or maybe a trench. This is an example of what I mean:

However, I don't want pay $200 for a coat. I will have to keep looking.

This would be perfect but it only comes in this color.

Someoen help me. My limit is $150.

This is SO exactly what I am trying to do. I guess I just need to watch endless reruns of What Not To Wear.

What about this one? It's $39.99 from Target. Surely not an investment coat, but cute
