Okay, it's started to get cold (in the 50's) here in Atlanta, and currently our house is 62 degrees. I am hesitant to turn the heat on yet because in the past two years of being in this house, our winter bills (Dec, Jan, and Feb) are usually $400 each month! Normally they run $40-60 in other months. And with gas prices being what they are...I cringe to think of what the bills will be like this year.
I work from home, and have a space heater, but I am looking for some good thermals (tops, mostly) to wear under my clothes - but I'd also like these to be worn under sweaters if I go out...I am trying to find some with a V-neck but so far, no luck. I don't wear crew or turtleneck sweaters, so I'd like something that doesn't show under my outerwear. And for layering purposes, thinner material is better - I am curvy and too many bulky layers just make me look bulgy.
Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? The only place I've looked so far was on the Hot Chillys site - they got a good review in RealSimple last year. The thermals look nice, but no v-necks. :(

i love hanro. but i only get those from my grandmother!
definitely check out your local sporting goods, camping goods store. lands end and ll bean are great places for silk underwear. i bought some silk leggings last year that basically i never took off. i am such a cold whimp.
I thought this post had simply disappeared - glad I went searching for it!
Lmonet - thank you, tha Hanro ones sound lovely, but I can't really justify that much for a thermal...where do you find them? I wonder if they ever go on sale!
Stephanie, I'll check out the UO ones. I know Smash has raved about her Sparkle tanks, so hopefully these will work.
Dot, I didn't even think of Land's End and places like that. My one current pair of thermals is from a local sporting goods store, and the top drives me crazy - the large is way too small (after washing) and an extra large would just be a tent on me.
Thanks all, for your suggestions!
