I saw these boots in the most recent Nordstrom mailing and I really like them.  The darker color would probably be more suitable in my wardrobe, but I wonder if the rubber sole is too wierd?

I LOVE the shape but is the sole made out of that gummy stuff? I can't really tell from the picture, but if it is, IMO, it kind of ruins the appeal of the whole boot. Although if they're cheap enough the might be worth it if you can have the sole replaced.

I much prefer the caramel ones w/ that kind of bottom. The contrast b/t the leather and the bottom on the chocolate boots appears a little too jarring IMO, but I don't think it looks horrible or anything.

I like the camel better than the chocolate brown, but I'm not really in love with either of them. I also think the contrast between the sole and the actual shoe is kind of jarring in the chocolate brown pair.

If you don't like them definitely don't spend your $$$ on them!  I like them, though, but I am not loving the heel color w/ the darker ones.

If the sole was a darker color I would go for the chocolate pair, but in this case I would go for the carmel pair.
