ETA: I always forget how old I am. Yesterday the lady at the car place asked me how old I was (to make sure I could sign for my rental car) and I said 18. My boyfriend looked at me like I had five heads and said "yeah, plus 2."

I do this, too!! The entire time I was 24 and 25, it never really registered and I would tell people that I was 23 as a reflex. Twenty-six hit me like a ton of bricks, though, and oddly, I feel as though I've lost two years, since 24 and 25 seemed to go right over my head. I keep mulling over the number in my head like it's this awful, finite, doomsday figure. Ugh. At least no one actually believes that I'm 26- at least once a week, I'm asked what college I attend and I still get the high school bit on a fairly regular basis as well.

I do that to. I always ask the person who is with me, how old am I? Or if someone ask what year I graduated high school (which was 2002) one time i said 98 another i said 2004, I just forget.
