Would this be stupid?
Permalink Closed

I'm really loving Urban this season (I really think that my tastes are starting to change b/c I like stores that I never really paid attention to before and I hate the stores I used to shop at...but I digress).  I really, really need some shoes for fall and I luuuurrve these. Would it be stupid to get two colors?  I definitely want the brown, but I'd love to have the grey, too.  Thoughts?

I have had this dilemma myself... Most of the time I try to find a different style, but sometime things are so perfect in what you're looking for no other style in the different color will measure up.  I did buy two colors in one style of boots twice this summer (also becuase they we marked down to $30/pair) the two lips boots I bought in black and brown, and the M.O.D. boots in brown and purple... I say go for it.

I say go for it as well-- They are so cute!

Detroit-

Are the two lips boots comfortable?  How high up do they come on the leg?  Thanks =)

I think they're really comfortable. they are a little loose in the leg, but that doesn't bother me because they look great and aren't too gapy (?) and for the $30 I spent they are definitely worth it (they aren't $30 any more - this was during the summer boot markdowns) I think I have extra long calves because no matter what knee boots I buy they are all mid-calf on me. The site says they have an 11" shaft - I'm guessing that's measured from the back of the heel and up (the foot heel not the shoe heel).

No, I don't think it would be stupid at all. If you love them, there's no harm in getting both, especially since the 2 colors aren't similar at all.

Of course, this is coming from the queen of "I can't make up my mind which color to get, so I will get both (or all 3...)"

whenever i have bought the same thing in multiple colors i always kick myself later. one always gets worn as anticipated and the other maybe once or twice, if at all.

if it were me, i'd get the brown pair. wait. and then decide if you cannot live without the other color.

i like the gray/silver more than the brown, but both are really cute.  i've been loving those shoes and thinking of ordering, too.  i don't think it's stupid to get two colors of something you love.  if you're going to be able to get a lot of wear out of them, i say go for it.

i agree- for me, it sometimes kills the "specialness" of something if i have backups or other colors.  i have back-ups of some basic tees and tanks, but thats about it.  i think you should buy one, see how comfy and how much you love/wear them, before buying another pair.

Thanks, girls.  I think I'll order the brown ones and if I like them, I'll get the grey, too.  Grey is just so hard to find and I really, really like this pair, so I'll probably end up with both!
