I dont know if this topic has been started yet,  but Halloween is in a little over a week and I need to find a costume!!!  Im in grad school for pharmacy and have a mid year meeting I am attending where all the other pharmacy students from the east coast will be attending, and it is going to be halloween theme, for the social event friday night.  So I need a costume, can't be anything really revealing, but id like something unique, that no one else will have, and something fun.  I dont know why but id really like to wear fake eyelashes, seems fun, but beyond that I have no clue.

you could be Carol Channing... (but I'm sure no one in your age group will know who she is - so it would definitely fall under the unique category)

the hair is always slicked-back and very blonde, and he makeup is just pale skin and red lipstick.  i hope to find a dress like the last one (that's the typical one they would use in theater productions) with a super-poufy tulle skirt.  the one madonna is wearing is a lot more sophisticated and adult-looking, and not like what they wear onstage.  HTH

actually, if you're really wanting to wear false eyelashes, you could be goldie hawn from when she was on "laugh-in."

one time i was Miss Piggy with false eyelashes and a gold lame' gown and curly blonde wig, with pig nose of course--it was hilarious.

I'm going as a goth chick and am going to wear fake eyelashes.  Goth is so opposite of me, so I figured it would be kinda fun.  Plus I can wear the individual pieces in the future.

So what exactly are you going to wear? Just curious about the goth pieces you can use later...

Oh, and detroit, carol channing was on Martha today - I thought that was SO WEIRD!!! I hadn't thought about her in ages. Did she have a sheep puppet or something? Or did i make that up?

HA! I think you mean Shari Lewis...she had a sheep puppet (Lambchop).

Whenever I think of Carol Channing, all can remember is her singing "Diamondsh are a girlsh besht freeeeeeeeeeend." Awful.
