Tallest Heel Height You Can Manage
Permalink Closed

Without walking like a giraffe, and that you're comfortable walking in? LOL I'll have to say, since I'm already about 5'7", the highest I'll go is 3", maybe 3 1/4", since I don't really want to be taller than Joe, who's 5'9". LOL

What about you?

3 and 1/2 is as high as I go - that's how high all of my 'fancy' shoes and most of my 'work' shoes are.

the highest i'll go is three, but even that's a stretch.  i love my flats.  i have maybe 2 pairs of 3 inch heels, the rest are 1, 1 1/2, 2.   I have a complex about feeling too tall, even though I'm only 5'5.  Also I am the clumsiest person alive.

4.5, but that's only for special occasion shoes. I can easily spend all day in a 4" chunky heel though. I'm 5' 3" and am not fond of my height, though I do wear flats and heels equally as often. Since my BF is 5' 10" I can pretty much wear whatever heel height I want.

The highest would be 4 inches.  I'm 5'9, so they make me 6'1 and I love it.

But the majority of my shoes are 2-3 inches because it's the most comfortable for daily wear.

4"

i wear these pretty consistently for work and fun... my feet actually hurt when i wear flats... although i have been trying to wear them more often b/c i know i am setting my feet up for issues in the coming years as i age...

oh and my BF is 5'11" and i am 5'3" so i can get away with it too!

3.5" is probably max for me. I am 5' 5" so I love being about 5' 7" or 5' 8" - I just feel stubby in flats. I wear heels all the time, between 2.5 and 3", so they're very comfortable for me. I could *probably* do 4", but I start to feel off-balance in anything over 4" and really don't see the point. I love sexy shoes that I can still walk in!

And DH is 5' 11" (and you should hear him bemoan that extra inch! He really wants to be 6'), so my being 5' 8" works well for both of us. Whenever I take off my shoes and stand next to him, he looks down and says, "I forget that you're so short"!

i used to love to wear 3-4 inch heels pretty regularly.  but now i have a semi-serious back problem and am supposed to wear flats all the time, with special extenuating circumstances for weddings and super-special occasions.  i'm 5'5 and feel so much better in heels, but now i'm pretty used to wearing flats for everyday.  i cheat sometimes with wedge heels.  i do have an entire closet full of barely worn, beautiful 3-4" heels that i'm not allowed to wear anymore.  they are sad.

The best height for me to handle is probably 2" - but I wear 3.5 - 4" almost all the time. when I was about 7 months pregnant I gave up heels - and I have to admit I am having a little bit of a hard time getting back into them - they are really uncomfy! (but I am only 5'2"  - so I WILL wear them again).

I usually go for heels that are 3-3 1/2", but I wear 4" every now and then. I used to wear heels almost everyday (in high school, go figure), but I adapted a more casual style due to college and wear flats everyday (too much walking and studying to feel comfy in heels, I guess).

2.5 I think is the highest. I'm more comfortable in flats or kitten heels.

Probably 4"

I'm 5'2 so you'd think I'd like wearing big shoes, but I feel unnatural in them because it's not "me". So I usually go with a 2.5" heel.

I'm ok with 3 inch, maybe a little higher, but I rarely go that high since I don't work outside the home anymore. I prefer flats now (big change) but go anywhere in between any time I can. I have always loved wedges & wear them all the time, with or without platforms, at any height.

And I'm 5ft 7 if that matters. I also noticed last night when I had on my high platforms that I'm as tall as my husband. I kinda hate that!

I am convinced that it has to do with the cut of the shoe.  If a shoe is really steeply cut then I can't where them, no matter how high they are.

I have a pair of 3" Nine Wests that are very gradually cut upward and I could wear them jogging

I can do a pair of 4" only on occasion ( I call them limo-restaurant-limo shoes b/c thats about as far as I can go in them). I have gotten so lazy in my old age () that I mostly wear flats or 2" heels max.

I am 5'10'"ish and FH is 6'2" so it isn't really an issue.

The highest I have worn is a little over 3" but I'm sure I could go higher (I'm almost 5'8" but I don't care ).  I can wear 4" in boots and shoes that are secure on my foot.

If they can make it, I can walk in it! I can also run in super-high heels.

I am very proud of this for some reason.

The highest heel I have is a 4 in. I haven't tried anything higher than than. Usually my heels are 3 in-4in and those are the ones I use frequently. btw, I'm 5'2.

I'm usually in 4" heels, but some of my shoes that also have a little platform may be a little taller than that.  I generally don't go below 2", really more like 3".  I have a high arch and my foot is more comfortable in heels than flats.

Oh, and I'm 5'5" and the hubby is 6'2", so I need all the assistance I can get
