Ok, so Im the one that was trying to figure out what to send overseas to England to my sort of ex boyfriend and his family. We are only sort of ex's because he legally could not live here anymore, since he is from England. But anyways, I ended up buying him a Ipod Nano, 2 CDs, A Tshirt from my university, Ohio State, and A box of cookies. Then for his mom and sister I bought them, Well I bought 2 philosophy gift sets, The Cookbook, and Amazing grace gift set, then I opened the set and mixed and matched the two gift sets into two separate boxes. I feel like I spent way too much.... On top of it, I haven't even paid for shipping yet, which will be at least 50 dollars! Im feeling guilty, but then again, I haven't seen them for 2 years, and They were like second family to me. You only live once right??? I just love giving....

no you didn't spend too much (even though I know it was tight for you). so much better than scarves! they are going to LOVE it! it will be so much fun for them to get those gifts in the mail - they will get soo much enjoyment from them, and that's what you wanted, right? well, I think you've done a good job :) I love giving too, and am often told I am too generous. money comes an goes, but you only live once...

No you didn't spend too much. I'm sure they'll love it!
One thing you might want to think about is the ipod - he'll have to buy a converter. Maybe you should get one of his family members to buy one over there and reimburse them? Or you could buy one online from a British retailer like Dixons?
Then again, it maybe way cheaper for you to buy it here considering the exchange rate. I just got back from visiting friends there and it sucks
actually... these new ipods are way cool, I enquired about that, and it turns out, they don't come with a wall plug to recharge, they are recharged by using a usb cord in the computer. Cool huh.... thanks for you input, feeling way way better!
