I think I found my motivation...
Permalink Closed

So, I'm currently paying off my credit card and I will have it paid off by February (maybe even sooner if I'm SUPER good).  I think I'm going to take detroit's advice and give myself some motivation to have it done by then.  I'd love a fun every day work back in a cute color and here's what I came up with:

or in teal:

I love red, but I don't have much of it in my wardrobe any more and the teal is a nice year-round kind of color.  Thoughts?

Or, better yet...if you had to find motivation to pay off a credit card, what would be your motivation?  I'm thinking something in the $300-$600 range.

Great motivation!  I like the red better, but they are both great and if you think you will get more wear out of the teal, then go for that one.  I agree it is more of a year-round color.

detroit, why did you have to post that bag???

i have ignored it a couple of times but i think i may need to get it now.  i recently got a rather large raise and this paycheck should be pretty nice (cuz i worked my tail off).  hmmm.

let's see, if i was going to get something, i would get jewelry.  i am always treating myself to shoes and handbags, but i know that i could always use jewelry.  i love david yurman pieces and my friend has this which i always admire...

and the motivation thing really works.  i buy starbucks maybe 5 times a year, always bring my lunch, and cook throughout the week.  it really adds up.  just cut down on those costs and find something that YOU really want, and you'll make it happen.

Same here.  I'm SUPER good about the food thing, the Starbucks thing, and lunches.  My bills are super low, but this damn credit card sucks!  And what really sucks is that I didn't get anything FUN with my credit card debt--I bought our couch and we got the house painted this summer and that's what I'm paying off.  Blech.  I swear, being a grown up can SUCK!

I'm REALLY liking the jewelry idea.  And I'm thinking that if I still want those green boots by February, they might be on sale by then!    I've thought about getting an LV Speedy, but I keep going back and forth on it, so I'm not sure if I want to use that as motivation.

I love the teal bag - but a word of warning - Coach changes their stock A LOT.  The last two bags I bought there were gone, sold out, within a few months.  So, I would just hate for you to look forward to something and wait until Feb. to get it, only for it to be gone.  Maybe you could ask an SA if they plan to carry it for a while?
