My other post is buried now, but the consensus was that the long gauchos I originally purchased for the benefit dinner later this month wouldn't be dressy enough.  So I just bought this instead:


Adrianna Papell Evening Strapless Dress with Belt


I figure I can alsw wear it to the company X-mas party in December, too.  Thoughts on accessories?  Maybe pearls because of the overlay?  I have heels in black and in the emerald color.  Which ones?  And I'll need a wrap of some sort.

Very pretty!  It will look nice with your coloring.  I think gold/bronze heels would look great.

Meh.  I can't!  My hubby is already having a coniption because I had to buy yet ANOTHER piece of clothing.  So I really will have to go w/ either the black or the green that I already have............

Nice dress! Out of black and emerald shoes, I'd definitely go with the black. It'll tie in nicely with the tie waist and won't be too much green.

Thanks, guys.  Okay, black shoes it is!  Now what jewelry would look best?  Low-key and sweet (pearls) or sparkly and borderline gaudy (black beads, and lots of them)?


Lord, I hope it fits!  They only had a size 6, which might or might not be too big.  I don't know how Adrienne Papell runs.....

Sorry, not meaning to cause martial discord, hehe!  I think either the black or emerald shoes will look nice too, just try them on and see.  I think the green shoes could either look really nice or be to much green, know what I mean.  And in that case the black would be perfect.  Be sure to post pics of your gorgeous self

I'm totally NOT a fishnet girl (though I did buy some to wear with my Halloween costume -- I'm going as a goth girl).  I would definitely do the layered black bead and diamond stud thing, though.  I may do sweet for the benefit and glam for the X-mas party.


 


FP - I DO have gold heels that I forgot about.  Maybe?  No?

That dress is beautiful and I think it will look perfect with pearls and black shoes.  Especially for a schmancy society benefit dinner.  It will look elegant and classic.  Then you can glam it up for your Christmas party!
