STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

Why do car repair places think that because we are women, we are stupid and they can screw us over when repairing our cars?  Ugh.  So to make a long story short, my car started overheating badly Sat. night - I ended up having it towed to my dealership (still under warranty) and they called to tell me the damage, which would be covered under my warranty.  I said great, fix it.  Then the guy proceeds to tell me 10 other things wrong w/my car that gee, just happen not to be covered under warranty.  Mind you, my car is 5 years old w/only 37,000 miles on it.  He's telling me a I need new brakes, etc when my father just replaced the brakes w/in the past year.  Thank god for my father who can fix just about anything on a car and keep me from getting screwed.  I just needed to vent...I'm so sick of these car places thinking I'm dumb because I'm a woman and they can screw me out of money.  Grrr
