Best volumizing/thickening mascara?
Permalink Closed

I recently started wearing glasses again to work and think I should start wearing more eye makeup.  I have really sparse lashes (unfortunately, this is common among Fililpino women.  boo hiss), so I need a really good volumizing mascara.  Preferably something cheap - under $15.  Also, if you have any tips for daytime eye makeup so eyes don't disappear behind glasses, that would be helpful as well.

Much thanks!

I like loreal featherlash waterproof.  I find the waterproof to make lashes much thicker than the regular.

Here's a tip that I do sometimes that may help you too; Use your normal mascara, or one that thickens and then coat your lashes with some eyeshadow powder. Do it right after, when the mascara is still wet so it sticks. Then do another mascara coat. It should just thinkcken it up.

Also, you may like colored mascara because the right shade can really make your eyes pop. I can recommend some if you're interested...

I have a GWP size tube of Magnascopic, I'll give it a test this afternoon and post you some pics. Not sure how much it costs in american dollars though, but you can always get it for cheap on ebay.

Ok! Took some before and after pics for you of the magnascopic!

This is just the mascara no base or curling or anything, I think it's pretty good, it makes me look like I have more eyelashes then I do irl and really adds a sense of depth.

This is my secret formula. I am obsessed with eyelashes.

First, L'Oreal Volumizing. If you have to pick just one, I think it is the best. Applied with lots of wiggling back and forth to get full separating effects.

Then, MAC. Whichever one is the super thick one that they will try to dissuade you from purchasing b/c they fear that you will find it too clumpy or overly dramatic. Ignore them and purchase, then apply over the L'Oreal.

Voila!

Thanks, girls, for all of your suggestions.  I think I may have tried L"oreal volumizing and think it worked okay, but might try the layering effect with the MAC thickening formula.  Thanks, Lisa!
