So I quit again!

Today is day 1 of no smoking for me. I have quit once in the past for a year, but my breakup happend and so did mr. cigarette. So I am back on the patch and am telling as many people as possible, so I will feel like a real failure if I fall off of the wagon.


A true test of my willpower came when my cellphone which is less than 3 mos old died and was on hold, xfered, and hung up on for over 3 hrs trying to get a phone that worked. Still no word on what they want to do, by the time I got someone who acted like they cared the dept I needed was closed. This is was "sprint together with nextel, can do for me"


Oh and the a/c is off at my work and it was HOT at work today!!


But on a lighter note: I may have been hit on becsuse some guy thought my patch was the birthcontrol patch. He was being way too friendly and finally asked if it was b/c.  I explained to him it was nicoderm, he seemed disappointed and promptly disappeared. It could have been because of my comment "Hey buddy I may be a whore but I am not trying to advertise by wearing my b/c patch for all to see." Bye Bye strange boy.


Ok I am done now. Cannot sleep due to the excess caffine I took in to replace my friend marlboro.

I am so proud of you - I went through this with an ex-bf & man it was so hard. GOOD FOR YOU!!! Stay strong.

And i was laughing my butt off at some boy hitting on you about your b/c patch - I mean REALLY DUDE!!!! That is hysterical. Really really hysterical!

Stay strong, Deuce!! I am in my eighth week on the patch. It really does get easier!! I did the same thing you did, I told everyone so I would feel really bad if I failed. I have had two cigars()since I quit. These were at parties. This didn't make me want to start smoking cigarettes again. So, if you need words of encouragement let me know!!!!

I replaced nicotine with caffeine too!! I decided I would not deny myself coffee. This includes as many lattes as I wanted too. So I have spent several days in a jittery state of high alert!!!

Hey guys, Thanks for asking. I am still going strong, still patching it. It is much easier than the last time I quit. I havent even cheated this time!!


Good luck to you as well sage. Last time I only did 2 weeks of the 21mg and 1 week of the middle level. I just forgot to put it on one day and didn't realize it until I went to pull it off at night.


Oh I did accidentally sleep with the patch 1 night. It was awful the dreams omg!!! They list that as a side effect but I had no Idea. They were so vivid and creepy. Now I remember every night to remove it.

I wore the patch all night. My dreams weren't creepy but they were very vivid!! I woke up feeling they were real. My co-worker had a horrible nightmare when she slept with the patch on. I think she was actually mentally scarred by it!!

I think everyone who wants to quit should try the patch. Everyone needs help with their addiction. For some reason, people think you need to quit smoking cold turkey. I disagree. Let's just say I stayed on the patch for the rest of my life(I don't plan to! But you never know!) it is still much better than smoking. I guess I can only do this last step for another couple of weeks. I started with the 14 mg because I smoked about 10 cigs a day.

I notice I have more time!! Because I don't have to make time to have a cigarette. It sounds crazy since a cigarette is only a few minutes but you have to go off somewhere to do it and the time adds up. And I can smell my shampoo longer.

yeah - you go girl, you can do it-, iam still trying to get my hubby to quit , i bought the patches  but i am going to have to buy some more- they have been in the cabniet for a year!
