choc brown and gray?

Lately I have been wondering how chocolate brown and gray would look together.  Well. lo and behold, I come across this picture that someone posted in another thread.  What do you think of this combo?  I guess I like it.

i don't care for it, but i don't really know why.  it just doesn't seem to go, but that's obviously a personal opinion.  there are a lot of people that won't wear shades of gray with khaki, but for whatever reason that doesn't bug me.  but not feeling the chocolate.

I can't stand chocolate w/gray!  Sorry, it's really a combination that I dislike.  Maybe it's the mix of warm and cool shades that bother me???  And I think that picture is that way because you can change the colors of the turtleneck on the BR site, but whenever you can do that the bottoms don't change color, make sense?

i'm honestly not sure how i feel about it- grey looks funny on me so ive never experimented- but for inspiration here are some pics from ralph lauren fall 2005, he uses brown with grey, in accessories mostly though.....the fact that he only uses the brown in the accessories and not as clothing pieces is interesting

also interesting is how he pairs lighter grey with a vachetta brown(eh, me no like) and darker grey with chocolate brown- i think if you choose your shades and pieces carefully it could look really nice. hth?

I like this color combo:

I think if you can find a cooler-toned brown OR a warmer-toned grey, it can totally work. I think it's very different and unexpected.

I LOVE chocolate brown and gray. I think it looks very rich and luxurious together, and I agree with Halleybird that it's unexpected. I saw a spread in InStyle years ago with those two colors, and everything featured was just beautiful together.

I really like it, especially if the grey is on the lighter side, as opposed to a dark charcoal.
