Hello BrazenCanadian...

I will start off the questions..

1. If you could have lunch with anyone (Dead or alive) who would you chose?

2. If you won $500 tomorrow but HAD to spend it what would you buy?

3. What is your favorite color?

4. Do you have any can't miss TV shows?

Thank you, JMR. I am honored!

1. If you could have lunch with anyone (Dead or alive) who would you chose? This is probably a boring answer but my Grandpa who died when I was 11 or 12. I would want him to see me grown up and know how happy I am.

 2. If you won $500 tomorrow but HAD to spend it what would you buy? A really nice purse or some shoes. Or a new pair of jeans. Or a new carpet for our bedroom-no wait, that's too boring.

3. What is your favorite color? Pink or black.

4. Do you have any can't miss TV shows?  The OC. I scheduled my night classes around Thursday nights b/c I can not miss it. I used to really be into ANTM and Amazing Race but I haven't had the time recently to watch the new seasons.

Yay for BrazenCanadian!

If you were stranded on an island and could only eat 3 foods for the next 5 years, what would you choose? (Drinks are plentiful, so no worries there)

What is your favorite holiday-related memory?

If you were stranded on an island and could only eat 3 foods for the next 5 years, what would you choose? (Drinks are plentiful, so no worries there) That's a hard one!  Popcorn b/c its my favorite snack. Potatoes b/c they are packed with nutrition and you can cook them in lots of different ways. Salmon b/c fish is so yummy.

What is your favorite holiday-related memory? You've thought of all the hard questions, Christine! I guess it would be when I was little, my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, sometimes friends and neighbors) would all convene at our Grandparents house and have a huge dinner and open mounds of gifts. My grandparents totally spoiled us kids so gift opening would take ages b/c they bought us so many things. Then we would listen to old Christmas records and the parents/couples would dance. So I would make my brother or boy cousins dance with me too.

What is your favorite restaurant? I'm such a foodie I can't just have one. My bf and I love this restaurant where everything is garlic flavored- The Garlic Clove. Also I love Bagolac Vietnamese, Fiore for Italian and our local pub The Ship and Anchor has great pub grub.

What do you do on a typical Saturday? I work every second Saturday but on my off-days I generally get up about 10ish, take my dog to the dogpark, go shopping and then go to the pub in th evening.

Are you close with your parents? Live close or far from them? I am very close to my mom. We actually lived with my mom for 5 years! while saving for our downpayment. I love my mom, she's my best friend.

My dad passed away 3 years ago but we weren't close.

Who is the most influential person in your life? My mom, she's amazing. She went from a bad marriage to being a dirt poor single mom to going back to school at age 40 and getting a great career. She has given taught me everything and she is so strong. She gave us everything and sacrificed so much of her own life for us.

How did you meet the BF? At age 20 I was on vacation with my brother and a friend in Vancouver. We went to see this band one night b/c a friend of a friend was in the band. I saw this guy on stage and was instantly in love! He was soo hot, he had a big Elvis-style pompador and was wearing purple overalls so I knew he was special. Anyway, I totally wanted to hook up with him but I was too shy to go after him. So I ended up talking to his friends and found out that we were from the same town and had alot of commom friends.

So once we were back in town, I kept "accidently" running into him through our friends. I thought we had hit it off  but he never even asked me for my number. Finally one day he came to my work and asked me out and ten minutes later I got fired. I almost didn't go on our first date b/c I was really upset but my mom convinced me to. We had a marathon 12 hour date and now live happily ever after. But had someone told me we would still be togeather 6 years later, I would have laughed in their face.

What do you imagine that you will be like at 45, 55, and 65?  I'm not sure. I don't want to get married or have kids so I hope to still be alot like I am now. I am in a very transitional period of my life so I really can't say. I would like to travel more and have figured out what I want to "do" with my life. I would love to be a super glam old lady, though. Like a total ZsaZsa Gabor type, lol!

What was the last thing you ate or drank? I just had a hot roastbeef sandwich and hashbrowns not even 5 minutes ago.

What is your favorite pizza topping? I like the veggie mediterranean from Panagopolous Pizza- kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, spinach, mozza and feta cheeses.

What do you do for a living?  I am the head chef for a small cater company but I am considering a career change as I have been in the food and service industry for 8 years now. Its time. I just don't know what I want to do.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done? I took off my bathing suit a swam nekkid in the Pacific ocean in broad daylight. I shotgunned 10 pints of hard cider back to back at a bar in Portugal. I got it on in a movie theatre during the movie "54". I once drank 3 bottles of red wine on a random Tuesday night and got alcohol poisoning.

How did you find FH/ST? Through Lucky. Everyone was so horrible there but someone suggested FH. It took me a while to get into it but now I'm a full fledged forumn addict.

What is the piece of clothing or accessory that you have owned the longest? I have a sweater set that I wore as a kid that still fits. Its navy cashmere with gold buttons, very classic. I inherited a hippie dress my mom wore in the sixties. I also have inherited jewelry from my Gran, may favorite being an antique jade necklace and earring set.

Do you like where you live? Somewhat yes, somewhat no. I love my house, the opportunity availible here and having all my family around. I hate the climate and the town is very boring and expensive.

What is your dream job? Still working on that one...fantasy job: Supermodel!

Who was your first kiss? I'm sure I kissed little boys growing up but my first real kiss was this boy, Trevor who was older than I was. We were hanging out and he kissed me, then French kissed me which I thought was repulsive. I think back on it now and he was waaay to old to be trying to smooch on junior high girls. Ew.

Congrats BC!

Here's a couple:

If you had to get a tattoo tomorrow what would it be and where would you have it put?

If you could go back to live in any era, when and why would you choose that particular time?

What are the coolest things about Canada? Our country is really clean and beautiful, especially the region (Rocky Mountains) where I live. Our goverment is alright. We have good social programs. Other than the scenery, Canada is a little bland.

What is your favorite season? Summer. I hate being cold or wet.

Which TV/book/movie character do you think you are most like? Maybe a bit like Monica from Friends, a bit like Cameron Diaz in Charlie's Angels (the goofy klutziness especially), a bit like Casey in the book "Burning The Map" by Laura Caldwell

Which would you most want to be? I would love to be really free spirited like Penny Lane in Almost Famous or Natalie Portman in Garden State.

What is a phrase you overuse? whatwhat? (Its from Futurama. when someone says something like Stylethread, you say Stylewhat? Whatthread? whatwhat?)

Also like and cool

If you had to get a tattoo tomorrow what would it be and where would you have it put? Actually I have plans for two (actually three) in the works right now. Currently on the right side of my back I have a dragon so on the left side, I want a pheonix. In Chinese symbolism dragons and pheonixes are like yin and yang, they represent Emporer and Empress.

Then on my back/waist, I want two large, palm-sized goldfish (not koi but more like pet goldfish, I love aquarium fish) flanking a symbol I currently have on in the middle of my back/waist.

If you could go back to live in any era, when and why would you choose that particular time? I would love to be either a greaser's girl in the 50's or a free spirited love child in the 60's. I would have loved to know my parents back then as they were hippies and hitchhiked around Europe. It seems like a really crazy fun time but with so much change in the world, it would have been really interesting. I would have liked to be a greaser girl b/c they looked so damn cool and were such rebels.

Wow - I thought I was the only one that did that. I have a friend who can't hear that well (not a impairment or anything, she just doesn't tune in until halfway through the sentence) and we are constantly saying "whatwhat?"!! How hilarious is that!!!

Okay, brazen, here's my first question: are you really? Brazen, that is?

If you HAD to live in the U.S., where would you choose to live?

What do you really think about Americans? (I'm always curious what Canadians think about us - I'm sure it's some kind of international self-esteem issue or something.)

Music - what would you say is your theme song and what song/artist couldn't you live without?

Art - do you have a favorite artist and why?

Have you ever wandered into a vintage store or furniture store, seen a piece of crazy furniture, built a room around it in your head, walked out without buying, and still dream about said room? (Or anything similar because I realize this may be something only I experience on a regular basis.)

What's your good luck charm or do you even have one?
