STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

...okay, I *feel* fabulous, whic is close enough for me. *s*

Today I went to the newest Nordie's in town and found an adorable skirt on sale. It's ivory colored, and sort of hippie-bohoish, though not so much that next year you'd say, "Oh, that trend is OVER". It was on sale, and best of all, I had a GC (leftover b-day money) so it cost me $3.50.

And better yet, I found some tights - Hue brand, dark brown with black pinstriping (sounds weird but they look really cool, and they go perfectly with my skirt and my new brown shoes...and I have sweaters / jackets to wear. I put on a whole outfit and felt very Anthro, which never happens. I am loving my new skirt!

Also I'm thrilled at the tights - I got the brown but like them so much I may have to get the gray as well - and got another pair, black and ivory, with a very refined sort of chevron pattern. I don't have the worlds thinnest legs, but these look awesome on.

AND I found my new fall boots! I only have two pair of knee high boots - a heavy, black, square toed pair my DH got me about three years ago, and a pair of brown boots...I wanted a more refined looking pair of black ones. I've been searching for a year and a half (either I couldn't find something I liked in my price range, or if I liked something, the damn boots were too big around the calf), thinking I wanted something pointy-toed and diva-ish, but today at DSW I found the perfect pair of Anne Klein boots. They're round toes, and the top of the shaft fits me really well in the calf.

All in all, not a bad mid-week shopping day! Now I am even more impatient for fall weather to hit!
