Refreezing?	Permalink Closed

Is it okay to refreeze stuff once it's thawed...like chicken, etc? I have always heard that it's not, and that once you defrost something, you can't refreeze it...if that's true, does anyone know why? TIA. __________________

True. I beleive it has to do with the build up of bacteria when it thaws. oh and frezerburn cannot be good for the integrity of the meat. __________________
