Sig Lines!
Permalink Closed

So for awhile I've wanted to start putting an interesting comment or joke in my sig line every couple of days to keep things fresh.  Anyone want to join me?

It always makes me smile to see some offhand comment in other people's sigs .

Sure - why not? I'll start updating my sig line when the inspiration strikes me. I also love reading everyone's little bits and pieces.

Esquiress, I think you have to edit your profile settings. One of the options is to view/not view signatures.

I hate to be the stupid one, but what does your sig line actually say? i have always wanted to know & didn't want to ask because i didn't want to look stupid.

It's not stupid at all! It's from a french poem by Charles Baudelaire. It (loosely translated) says: Now is the time to get drunk! Don't be enslaved martyrs of Time, get drunk; get drunk without haste! On wine, on poetry or on truth, whatever you choose.

Basically it means do what makes you happy - give into it completely, do it often, and do it now because you're only going to have less time to enjoy life tomorrow.

Ha! This is fun! I had to lose the Baudelaire because there isn't enough room but I'll put it back. Adams is just temporary. I love Douglas Adams.

I decided to play. I might change this again, although this Mike Tyson quote is possibly the most ridiculous thing ever. I it.

Halleybird, I had no idea who Denny Crane was and I had to do a web search. It's William Shatner's character on Boston Legal, right? I've never seen the show
