Change before reception
Permalink Closed

I'm going to a wedding this weekend. I have to drive about 4 hours to get to the ceremony. THEN, the reception is about 3 hours after the ceremony. Would it be weird to wear a nice pant/blazer outfit to the ceremony, and then change into dressier clothes before the reception? Do people do this? I hate to spend all that time in the car wearing my dressier clothes and arrive looking like a rumpled mess. Thoughts?

i don't think so at all... in my culture (indian) it's considered weird NOT to change in between!

i don't think that it would be a big deal at all--it's actually a really good idea.  since you have that much time in between the events, i bet a few other people will do the same.

Go for it.  I've seen people do this at almost every wedding I've been to.
