What should I choose for my birthday??

My birthday is coming up and my BF always has me choose my own gift (he loves buying me things but doesn't like to come up with his own ideas...which I am sorta grateful for).  This year I am in a sort of a dilemma.  I had told him I wanted an Ipod mini or nano, but now I kinda want this Coach handbag.  I don't even own a brown handbag, and since I have finally started to wear more brown, I need a simple one that will go with anything.  On the other hand, I really really want an Ipod/mp3 player because I have a 20-minute bus ride to work every day and it is so boring!  My coworkers tell me to go with the Ipod since I won't get much use out of the handbag, then buy a cheaper brown handbag, such as Nine West, etc.  What would you girls choose?

I have both the purse and the nano. I vote nano I love mine. Find a similar purse somewhere else. nano nano

I agree, get the ipod. You'll get a lot of use out of it and you can get a similar looking bag for cheaper!

I'd go for the iPod.  It's probably not something you're likely to buy for yourself like a purse is.  Have him get you the iPod and you should treat yourself to the purse as a birthday gift to yourself!    (I'm such an enabler!)

I say get the Ipod - you know me, I'm a Coach addict, but have him buy you the Ipod - you'll get more use out of it, and trust me, it will help your bus ride go much faster.  Also, maybe someone could get you the purse for Christmas since it's so close to your bday??  Just a thought!  I do love the purse though!

That is a very pretty bag, but if the IPod would make your commute enjoyable, - I would go with that.  But if you go with the bag, I really like it, and it would go with anything!  Happy birthday.

I agree - go with the ipod. Listening to mine is the only thing that makes the bus ride tolerable.

as a fellow chicago girl...i have to say the ipod.  it just makes the commute so much easier, but it's awesome for the gym, by the lake, etc...  also, sometimes in the city some sketchy people approach me and with my headphones, i can just ignore them.  that may be rude, but when i walk i just like to get where i'm going.

Well, I kinda knew everyone would say got for the Ipod, but I just saw the purse yesterday in the store and fell in love.  I figured I can make do with my current mp3 player (which sucks!), but after listening to everybody, I am going to get the Ipod.  Thanks girls!!
