Class ring!!!!
Permalink Closed

I am so excited I can start looking at class rings!!! But there are so many choices and dont know what to go with!! I want to get one that is at least $320 and no more. This one is one that I like but I need opinions! I still have time to decide and I might actually order it next school year I am not sure yet but I want to start looking at some ideas!

$309.95 This one would say 2007 on one side and HCHS on the other

What do ya'll think about this one?

I think it's very pretty and classic, not bulky and thick like some I've seen.

I don't know if this is an option, but I know the class rings tend to be very expensive if you buy them through the school brochure; a lot of my friend's parents went to jewelry stores of their choice and got them for a lot less $.  I also hear Wal-Mart has a good Class Ring selection.  You may want to check that out.

I know this is a really really big deal when you are at this point in your life but...if I may make a suggestion - one of my friend's mom bought her a gorgeous ring in our school color (emerald green, hello!) with diamonds that wasn't really a "class" ring. At the time I thought that was silly, but she has a beautiful emerald ring that she can still wear 15 years later & mine is in my jewelry box where it has sat since my freshman year in college....of course, our school wouldn't let you go through the "class ring ceremony" unless you purchased it through the company that came to our school & that was a HUGE deal breaker for me....ANYWAY

All that being said - that ring is very pretty & dainty & I like it - can you post others that you are considering, or is that "the one"? I know once I saw the one I ended up getting there was really no going back or changing my mind!

Is that your school color or just a stone that you love? Just curious.

I dont know if this means anything, but as my class ring, I got this--

In my eyes, a class ring doesnt have to be the stereotypical rings, as long as they mean something to you.

I think the one you chose is lovely if it fits your personality. When it was my turn to pick out a class ring, I didn't know we could go outside the school's vendor. I like the idea that Laken's friend's mom had with the Emerald, and I wish I had done something similar. This is my good ol' traditional class ring

Delicate (A16) and I didn't even wear it through high school. If I asked my parents to get me "normal" blue Sapphire ring with a gold band (our colors were blue and gold) like this

it would still technically be my class ring, but something I would still wear now. For what it's worth...

I like laken's idea.  I didn't get a class ring, partly because I would have to personally pay for it and partly because I knew I would never wear it after high school.  If you do get a class ring, I like the one that you picked out because it is simple and classy.

Laken- The color is my birth stone! And I love the idea that your friends mom did!

That ring that LMonet posted is very very similar to one in the jostens catalog for $320!!!

I will be looking for some more options in other stores and compare prices! And make sure to post them here!

Thanks!!!
