need help rounding out fall/winter wardrobe

I'm hoping you guys can help me get creative with my wardrobe this season.  As I've mentioned once or twice, I am moving to tropical Thailand in February for the next two years, so I don't want to invest a lot in new cold weather pieces this season.  I am willing to buy a few items, especially if I can layer them or use them in Thailand.

I have all the basics: herringbone skirt, basic color skirts and pants, plenty of sweaters.  But I could use a few really good cardis, layering tops that could be worn alone or under sweaters and blazers, and also knit tops.  I can't pull off camis due to a large bust, but tank tops and short and long sleeve tops are good.  I seem to have a lot of funky jewelry but few pieces for everyday.  I would appreciate some imaginative outfit ideas or items I can add to spice things up.  I feel so boring lately!  I need business casual, weekend, and going out outfit ideas.  It know it's a tall order, but I swear I'm not being lazy -I'm just at a loss right now, style-wise. A lot of stuff I've ordered recently didn't fit or looked funny, so I'm getting desperate! Thanks in advance...

LMonet - thanks - I know I ask a version of this post every season; I can't seem to figure out how to shop smart!

Business Casual:

Weekend:

These could both be casual going out tops, too.

Jewelry (I'm not entirely sure how you define 'everyday' jewelry, but here are some ideas):

The caramel cardi is Christopher Fischer from eluxury.

The top row, first one is velvet at shophoneywest.com, and the last two are from shopLaStyle.com.

food for thought, ladies...thank you.  I especially like

retrospect pulloverand of course all the turq jewelry...drool...so $$ though!  I have a turqouise bead necklace from there and it's awesome.

I also found this sweater at Target which was pretty cute on and reminds me of an anthro sweater, except not as refined and only like $20:

Merona Smkd Turq Wm Swtr w/Shwl Cllr - Mand this from ann taylor, in the same vein, but for $88:

what do we think?
