i need some HEALTHY food ideas for the cool weather.

last year i did:

  • soups (i love 99% f.free lentil soup w/tobasco sauce)
  • f.f. refried beans
  • roasts (in the crock pot)
  • pastas
  • frozen meals

with a salad usually.  i just need some new recipes or brands for all those things or other suggestions.  what do you all eat in the cooler months?

I love to make chili in the cold months, though I don't think that is generally considered a healthy choice.  Maybe you can make it healthier by making a soupy chili with lots of veggies.  I like to use low-sodium tomato juice or V8 for mine.

chili- either regular (use lean beef) or vegetarian... I make it in the crock pot

I love soup and grilled cheese for a quick rainy day meal (FF new england clam chowder w/ a splash of tobasco is soooo good)

I third the crock pot chili!  We use 99% lean ground turkey in ours - I can post the recipe if you like.  It honestly makes me not want to eat canned chili anymore!

I also do spaghetti with turkey meatballs, lasagne - sometimes a frozen Stouffers one, sometimes homemade with wheat noodles/FF ricotta/spinach.
