Question for you...   I was reading in alb's post that you like to do invititations.  Do you have a program to do those?  I want to do some Christmas cards this year and invitations to my girls' birthday parties.   I have been looking for software to help me do cards, invitations, etc.  I'm a total novice, though.  Can you help me get started?  (Where is the "beg" emoticon???)

Hey Cricket!

Well I'm no expert, it's just a hobby, but the software I use is called Printing Press Platinum.  It's made by a company called Mountain Cow.  Here's their website: http://www.mountaincow.com/

You can look at their samples and design ideas to get an idea of what the software will do.  It's not the most user-friendly software unless you are doing the simplest of things, but I have used it a lot to make some really cute things.  I had to spend time with the "newsletters" they send out to learn all their little tips, but now I am pretty proficient.

The software comes with cute fonts and graphics and there are additional sets of them you can buy to add on.

If you decide to get the software, I would definitely recommend getting the Printing Press Platinum rather than the cheaper Printing Press.  Also, they now have Printing Press Ultimate, which is probably great, but they didn't have it when I got mine.  Also, it's over $100.

I really like to fold my own cards and envelopes (I have a kit from Martha Stewart catalogue w/ templates) but it takes SO long if you need to do a lot of them.  So I just buy the paper from Mountain Cow now.  They have cute color combos and it is a good weight and a good value.

I hope this helps.  I know there are other girls on the board who do stationery and invitations, so maybe they have advice too.  Let me know if you have any other questions!
