i'm looking for a shorter length casual wool peacoat that i can wear everywhere and not have worry about. (i.e. trip to the cidermill with toddler = cinnamon sugar and apple cider on my coat) i've been searching for over a year for the right one and i think i love this one. i love that it is a color (not camel or black) and i love the little low-slung belt. i love that it's only $69. i love that it's from delia's because i know it'll be cut smaller and the double-breasted-ness won't overwhelm my frame.
i'm thinking that i should get it, but i need confirmation that it's cute. thanks!
I really like it in the picture, but I wouldn't be surprised if it looks awful in real life. I just think coats aren't the best thing to get from Delia's.

maddie, i know delia's quality is questionable at ALL times but have you had a particular experience with their coats? i only have ONE shirt from them and it's actually pretty good (for the price). i'm just wondering if you think their coats are always poor quality.
i'm not looking for a piece i'll have "forever" — i already have a closet full of nice, well tailored coats — but i don't want one that'll fall apart after 1/2 a season either.
I bought a pea coat from Delias a few years ago, and I still have it. I don't wear it often (I didn't wear it at all last year, in fact), but not because it's bad quality... it's just not really my style. It was $30 so I just "had" to have it. I find it to be a little itchy around the neck, but other than that, I'm impressed with the quality. Of course, it's not the coat you're considering (which I think is really cute, by the way), but I just thought that info might help a little.
