ok--i won two pairs of the metallic j.crew flats on ebay.  one of them arrived yesterday, and they are SMALL.  i am usually a smallish (narrow) 8, and sometimes wear a 7 1/2.  i have some other j.crew flats and had to buy an 8.5, but had heard that these ran true, so i ordered an 8. 

my toes are all cramped on the sides and the top part of the shoe cuts into my heel.  i don't even think that my shoe repair guy can stretch them enough to fit, so i will prob. try to re-sell on ebay and win more in an 8.5 or even a 9.  the length is not the problem--it's that they are skimpy on the leather top part, so they're too tight around as opposed to too short in the footbed (if that makes sense). 

anyway, i know some people were thinking of bidding on ebay, so there's my review.  HTH
