instead of uggs? they are much cheaper, im just looking for comfy kick back shoes to wear when it starts to get cold.

How cheap are they? I'm very torn. i guess i'm all about wearing whatever i want to the grocery or on quick errands, more about comfort to me.

I think they are cute and you won't see everyone else wearing them. They're perfectly fine for kicking back in and they look cozy, too.

I own the pepper rebels, they're MUCH shorter then they look, and I've been reading that they are going to be everywhere soon like uggs, and seeing them on TV. Uggs are 90 bucks on ebay btw. Sooo if you want uggs I would just get the uggs. Not to hijack but I wonder if a lot of people will be wearing uggs this winter after the ugg-mania? Maybe wearing uggs will become an uber-fashionable-anti-fashion-statement!

I am somewhat anti-ugg. With all the fakes running around.. and I think I am just getting tired of looking at them. (I hear they are super comfy though.)


That said, the boots you posted are cute, but still have an ugg-vibe.


If that is the look you are going for, then get these. If you really like the Uggs no matter what and will wear them forever - then get those.


And if you want something new and different and fun then all of Leah's choices are good!

Oh my gosh, I love the 5th pair. Please, please, please tell me where they are from. I lived in uggs 2 years ago, mukluks last year, and these look perfect for this year. I just can't wear nice leather boots in 4 feet of snow even if it is just from the parking lot to my building.

Pepper are the choc. brown ones I THINK, but I guess it makes more sense for pepper to be the blackish ones...well anyways, I have the choc. brown ones! I bought them specifically for wearing in airports/on planes, and it's too hot to wear them right now but I plan to wear them with a tweed sort of 50s'-ish dress that I am working on, circle skirts, and jeans tucked in. Maybe I can post a few pictures of them with outfits later tonight..
